The Untold Story Of Rahul Dravid

Rahul dravid was called the wall of the Indian cricket team. He is also the former captain of the Indian cricket team. He is the Director of Cricket Operations at National cricket Academy, Bangalore, India.

Interesting Untold story of Rahul dravid:-

  1. Rahul Dravid was a real friend who was a hard worker. He was not interested in studies. When he was in 11th class, he has taken commerce and was playing cricket. Selections for ranji matches for coming in few weeks and was playing regularly for the selection. He was using old pair of gloves and was given new set of gloves to play by his parents.
  • He decided to use that new pair of gloves just before the match. He was playing very nicely as he plays at the beginning of the innings. The next ball was dropped slightly away from him and he attempted to play it but he dropped his bat. The opposing team appealed and he was given out. Actually, his new glove had made the noise while he was playing it away from his body. He was really worried and disappointed by this.
  • From the time he got out till next 4 days he did not changed the gloves. He wore gloves throughout the class and was attending lectures while wearing gloves. He did lunch and dinner with gloves on and also while sleeping , he used to put the gloves on. The next day Rahul went to a girl house to buy the notes of the classes he had missed and girl asked why he always wears gloves and the whole class think that you think of yourself as a professional cricketer.
  • He laughed and said ranji tournament is coming in 5 days and this is the new pair of gloves he has got. He said that they need to grasp sweat so that they don’t make such noise.  His hand was full of rashes when he took off his glove after 4 days.
  • He scored 82 runs in that match and 2 centuries thereafter. Such was the dedication of Rahul Dravid.

2. Rahul Dravid once had to deliver a speech in a MNC and it was an event where registration closed within just few minutes. Those who were in front of their laptop got lucky and registered themselves while others felt cheated.
